Andreas Andreou was born in Nicosia, Cyprus. He obtained his BA Humanities degree in July 2013 from the University of Essex in the United Kingdom. His primary subjects were Sociology, Philosophy, French and Psychoanalysis. His BA thesis (Fygostratia, Punishing antimilitary conscience in the Republic of Cyprus) received the 2013 CISH Dissertation Prize. In 2010 he published his first book - Berengaria, The Hotel of the Kings.
